Risk Assessments

A parish council must ensure that its financial, operational and risk management is effective (Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/234), reg 3) and its risk management schemes must cover a range of risks to public money and related to council property, activities and any employees.

Slindon Parish Council has a general risk assessment and also one for the village pond and the Recreation Ground which identify the levels of risk and ways of mitigating them (e.g. insurance policies or regular inspections). It also adopted one to cover the additional risks posed by COVID-19 in respect of its recreational areas on re-opening to the public 4 July 2020.
